The Best Trailers From TGS 2019

Every September we get the E3 of Japan known as The Tokyo Game Show, TGS. As the title of the show may suggest, the majority of the content shown is Japanese market focused, or at the very least, Japanese developed games. Without further ado, here are the best TGS 2019 trailers.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

We’ve seen a good deal of this game already, but in this trailer, weighing in at almost 3 minutes, we get glimpses of what else we can expect. Namely, I saw mini-games, however briefly. Final Fantasy VII Remake is due to release March 3, 2020 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

Death Stranding

Freed from the constraints of Konami, Death Stranding is the upcoming bizarre masterpiece from famed developer, Hideo Kojima. Best known for his work on the Metal Gear series, Death Stranding will be his first game from his own development studio, Kojima Productions. Death Stranding will release on November 8, 2019 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

Nioh 2

A Samurai sword swinging action-rpg in the vein of Dark Souls, Nioh was a huge success in 2017. Thankfully we’re getting a sequel with Nioh 2, currently expected to release in early 2020 for the PlayStation 4.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Hailed as the Action-RPG that lets you fight, fish, eat, and train with Goku, supposedly we’ll get to do more than just one-on-one battles. Hopes are high for ANOTHER DBZ game. In fact, the new TGS trailer is a bit of a let down compared to the Gamescom trailer shown a few weeks ago…Here’s the Gamescom trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, launching January 17, 2020 for PS4 and Xbox One.

Resident Evil: Project Resistance Reveal

Reminiscent of Evolve from Turtle Rock Studios, Resident Evil: Project Resistance is a 4v1 multiplayer game where four players are survivors and one player is Mr. X, hunting the survivors. Resident Evil: Project Resistance will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. No release date was given.

Kingdom Hearts 3: ReMind

Back in January of 2019 Kingdom Hearts 3 launched as the conclusion in the longer running series spanning more than 15 years! Kingdom Hearts 3: ReMind is new DLC coming this winter for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Hope you enjoyed these TGS 2019 trailers. Keep an eye out for more trailers and announcements as The Tokyo Game Show continues throughout the week.
